I wake up wheezing -- bronchial tubes constricted.
But fortunately after sinus surgery, a year of
allergy shots and the diet change, my symptoms
have improved quite a bit. But I'm still interested
in hearing about the latest new remedies.

I have a big collection of inhalers from various doctors.
Some help, some don't. Mostly I use Proventil when
I wake up wheezing.

My allergy doctor encouraged me to "relocate" the cat,
but I could never do it at this point. She'll be 11
soon and I've had her since she was 6 weeks old.

I get along fine without pasta and wine, but coffee
is another matter. It's my sole surviving addiction
and I'm not likely to give it up.

Add me to the asthma roster. And Steve, too.

I eat a high protein, low carb diet, like Justin is doing. Gives me a lot of energy, and helps keep my weight in line as an added benefit.

An allergist once told me that I should consider moving to the northern California coast to escape the pollens that bedevil me down here. I bet I'd find a whole new raft of horrible pollens up there.

<<Hey, Justin, sounds as if you have some bad problems with asthma. If I remember correctly, Ish has it too.>>

Nope, that I don't have. Don't need it. I have an allergy to animals and a wife with 3 horses, 2 dogs and 4 cats. Also chronic bronchitis, I get a cold and it lasts for months. I'm thrilled when I get pneumonia instead of a cold, doesn't last as long.
