Don't be too surprised if it turns out to be a "new" food allergy. About 5 years ago, I suddenly became allergic to rice, carrots, citrus fruits, and even Vitamin C pills. The allergy developed very suddenly and was quite severe. (Rashes, intense itching, and my throat would get swollen which restricted my breathing).

Apparently this is becoming common...sudden development of severe food allergies. I've met several people who have had similar experiences. Have also read several articles on this subject. Very odd and not very nice at all.
