Frank,

<< John Chambers was the keynote speaker. The man is awesome >>

Great you saw him. I never did in person but his picture is on my office wall (opposite Marilyn Monroe).

<< Eric, I believe the man's vision >>

Perhaps Cisco is an old Gorila, but ... The Gorilla Game is about one thing ... producing abnormally high returns with minimal risk. Chambers does that.

Cisco has been 20% of my portfolio since I started actively investing. It will be the same when I retire. It's profits have funded a lot of my portfolio growth. Painful to cut it back every year to 20% but thats my first rule. The second is that no other equity will exceed my CSCO stake.

Chambers, is the finest business LEADER in the world today, IMO.

It is magic that under his leadership, companies are acquired and assimilated, and excutive talent retained. Story about him in WSJ last week exempifies.

<< Cisco Era is in its infancy >>

IN ITS INFANCY!

<Actually, on this thread we are dependent on the geeks:

Bill Gates
Michael Dell
Irwin Jacobs
Steve Case
John Chambers>

Frank,

He'll have to fight Irwin Jacobs for the Alpha Geek crown!

Eric, I believe the man's vision, and will be back into csco in the next 60 days. After hearing JC and his team, I'm convinced that the Cisco Era is in its infancy.

Unc, you're diversifying!!!???!!!

BTW this thread is getting as busy as the old Dell thread! Wake up in the a.m. and 100 posts. But the info is far better and no flames!
