Why all the fuss about benchmarks?

AMD didn't release ANY AthFLOP benchmarks before their launch - just Per cent comparisons to Intel's Pentium III.

Even on the first STEALTH LAUNCH, AMD didn't post anything more than the same warmed over "percentages".

AMD waited until August ~~ 2 months AFTER the AthLoff launch - to release benchmarks.

That gives Intel until December to match AMD's schedule - assuming the Coppermine DOES get launched at the end of October.
