Ganesh <Maybe there's a hedge fund which is hurting out there> Rumor mill says one short client bought 10 million ounces 7 bucks above the market price earlier today. Rumor has it the feds stepped in this am to head off a melt-up when we opened at 339, up 20 bucks on the day. Rumor has is there have been defaults already. Rumor has it that there have been some emergency meetings. Lots of rumors. I belive the evidence this am supports the rumor. The large above-the-market-order rumor also seems backed by price movements. Rumor has it that the traders of the 'we-can't-pay-enough-for-these-stocks'crowd don't get it -- yet. Stick around. We are in the first inning of this move. P.S. too erly to tell for sure, but we may be in the midst of another bailout -- perhaps larger than LTCM -- only this time its the gold shorts.
