Very interesting. Sounds as though the AOL/Athome deal is still viable.

Excellent News!!!

I just got off the phone with my broker. He told me that the scuttle-butt is that Hindery resigned due to his vehement disagreement concerning T's upcoming deal with aol. He was, according to rumor, chastised for his bold public and televised statement that no deal between T and aol regarding athm. Statement such as that leaves T exposed to unnecessary bad publicity and possible litigation in the event a deal is indeed consummated. Apparently, my guy tells me there will be a deal between T and aol. In addition, he told me that Cox communication is believed to now be behind the deal and is no-longer a problem. That left Hindery as lone man out. He expects announcement of the deal within 2-3 weeks in which case most people on the street expect to see aol shoot up to 150 range very quickly. I asked what was the best guess as to how the deal would be structured. Apparently, analysts/broker community is looking for a joint T/aol announcement during which aol will split 2:1 and issue stock to Cox Communication and apparently other cable partners in athm in exchange for a percentage of their interest in ATHM. In addition there will be some type of joint agreement between aol and T relating to fees paid and access to aol to cable.

We'll see, but things are starting to get very exciting!
