I guess this will remove the temptation by DeBeers to buy
illegal diamonds and inadvertently fund the Civil War.
I always thought it was a tactic to keep the supply of diamonds down as it's hard to keep production rates up when most of the country is at war.
If the Rebels loose their main source of income they will
quickly use up their funds for buying big ticket weapons of destruction. Gotta be good in the long run for SUF.
