I think that Toy has been listening to too many marketing presentations ... ;-)

And everyone says that Novell can't market ... ;-)

I replied to his post, and would like to hear what he finds. I'd also like to hear any "counter proposals" on how these types of systems handle traffic. Our discussion was centered on Network Address Translation (NAT) which is a very difficult technology to "fight" using the techniques that Toy was suggesting.

This is why ISPs simple tell you not to use NAT ... instead of preventing it! They can't!

This is not a Novell failing ... NAT is a cool technology that is extremely useful ... ;-)

Fred I hate censorship

I can't wait for the day when we can move this Novell discussion to a card in our digitalme identity vault and tell SI bye bye.

Let them eat that comment. Did you notice what they did to you when you stepped on MSFT's toes? And you should see how terrified Novell employees are of ever being "found out" posting here.

I can't wait for digitalme to begin to solve some of these problems. Free speech and private thoughts.

Geez, and all this time I thought Novell was aiming at a personalized identification of the user -- hopefully through a biometric identifier. Is this technically out of bounds, or can NDS evolve toward a non-IP model?
