bill,
Re: Productivity

Research at my own company has shown a fantastic productivity increase thanks to the Internet and our new PCs. Instead of
spending time in the coffee room, most employees stay glued
to their computers, displaying dedicated interest in equities,
gold and currencies. Of course, nobody ever looks during working hours. The time productively spent in front of the computer is
approaching 110% of working hours.

Another measure of productivity we use, is the number of Xerox copies
made per day and person. Thanks to the Internet, we have managed to double the daily output, despite living in a paperless society.

Our fax machine rarely needs any service, as we now have a great
company email server. Thousands of emails are received every day,
compared to the few written. Luckily all of them are about company business.

Despite this incredible growth, our profitability has severely
decreased, but this must be just a temporary set-back, adapting to
the new era. With enormous future productivity growth in sight,
we expect a dramatic improvement in the coming years.

AG is right, it's the productivity increase by the use PCs, LANs and Internet that is driving the economy,
not the credit expansion!

Per S
