Ruffian,

<< This Is Great! <gg> >>

No it's GREAT <G>

To see why I'm grinning, do a comparative chart of OMPT and QCOM and PCS, YTD, or lets say, 1/5/99 (Unfortunately I didn't have enough left in the kitty then for PCS).

Then run a comparative chart of OMPT and QCOM and PCS and VSTR, starting shortly after the VSTR spin off from Western Wireless (money in kitty this time).

Being somewhat technology agnostic is great when the wireless market is in a state of hypergrowth, and there is world wide M&A, which makes it a bigger game than just "best technology".

Stanton's quite a guy, IMO. Recent article titled "VoiceStream Takes Big Bite, Swims With The Sharks" here:

BTW: I'm very long on Q and will be out of VSTR/OMPT after they are acquired and when it's prudent to do so. I'm not into investing in carriers, except under special circumstances, and a nation wide network on the table in the US is a special circumstance.
