I wonder where Blodget is going to stand on Akamai then because that is going to be hot.

Michelle,

Is ML even one of the managers on the deal? If not, he may dodge this one. He doesn't follow CMGI, CNET, GNET, EBAY, etc. I have read on SI that ML is using INKT's shopping engine. (BNBN is also on their shopping site.) I've also heard that AKAM has better technology than INKT. Blodget skirts a lot of valuation issues that other ML analysts don't seem to be able to. At least Goldman upped ETYS rating and target. Blodget keeps telling people to buy ETYS when he has a $50 target.

My guess is that Blodget would give AKAM the standard 2-1 rating with some form of price target: none (a la PCLN), 12 month (AOL), 12-18 month (UBID), 18-24 month (QKKA) or 2 yr (ICGE). He would supplement that with some "descriptive" rating such as the one you suggested a while back "nice to have". <ggg>
