SouthernEra's Dr. Christopher Jennings to resign as president and CEO SouthernEra Resources Limited SUF Shares issued 26,885,895 Oct 5 close $2.68 Wed 6 Oct 99 News Release Dr. Christopher Jennings reports SouthernEra's president and chief executive officer, Dr. Christopher M.H. Jennings, has informed the board of directors that, as part of the company's succession plan, it is his intention to relinquish his executive positions effective Dec. 31, 1999. The board intends to elect Dr. Jennings to serve as the non-executive chairman of the company. In this position, Dr. Jennings will continue to play a central role in the company's exploration and development activities. "The board and I have been pleased with the progress made by an executive search firm retained to identify candidates to succeed me as SouthernEra's president and CEO," said Dr. Jennings. "The international search identified a number of attractive candidates whom we feel confident would ensure that SouthernEra will realize the full potential of both our diamond properties and projects, and the Messina platinum mines property in South Africa.
