Having some kind of community review process for terminations may be a good thing. I agree that if it is going to be available for one, it should be available for all.

That said, I see the A@P vote as a pilot program: maybe it works, maybe it does not, maybe it needs to be reformatted, maybe it needs to be scrubbed. But, I like the idea that SI is willing to try something to see if and how well it works.

Geez...isn't much of the net about trying things to see if and how well they work? It was the "try it and see if it works" attitude that brought us SI to begin with. None of us should now be surprised or critical of the approach when it is applied in a different direction.

My guess is that most of the "anti-vote" crowd are more anti-vote simply because they are anti-A@P. Nothing wrong with being anti-A@P, but that should not, IMO, color an evaluation of the process and concept.
