Digital Microwave Corporation's DXR Radio Shipments
Surpass 10,000

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Microwave
Corporation (Nasdaq: DMIC - news), today announced that
shipments of its DXR microwave radio product line have
surpassed the 10,000 unit mark.

Introduced to the world telecom market in 1994, DXR radios
are installed as a wireless transport infrastructure for
voice, video and data traffic in telephone networks
installed in more than 50 countries worldwide. The DXR
product line, developed at the Company's Wellington, New
Zealand facility, is recognized worldwide for its success in
applications over long distances and under extreme conditions.

The DXR 700, introduced within the last year, provides
telecom transmission in both urban and rural networks that
demand high-performance, spectrally efficient digital radio
solutions. DXR 100 is designed specifically for low- to
medium-capacity network trunking applications. DXR 200
provides an integrated, modular, linking solution for a wide
variety of communications systems in areas or applications
with low-capacity transmission requirements. DXR 200 is
extremely flexible and versatile, capable of configurations
including high-speed data transmission and ISDN, as well as
the most basic telephone voice services.
