Just look back in history and see how well Continental airlines did coming out of bankruptcy. The only way creditors of CA will get any money is if CA continues flying. So shareholders of CA get nothing. Those that bought at $800 a share have lost just about all anyway. Competition for AC with CA's debt rescheduled would be awesome. It makes much more sense to merge the airlines now. All you little retail investors of Air Canada mean diddly squat, it will be the institutions that count and who will be sold on the ONEX deal.
