Good article.

<<There is a huge emphasis these days on investors getting the best price,
even though an eighth of a point here or there matters only to aggressive traders.
>>

"Aggressive traders?" Excuse me... 1/8th of a point on 5000 shares is $625.00. That is more
money than many hard-working people can earn in a weeks (40 hours) work. Why should I
give it to some thieving market maker or specialist when through the ISLD ECN we can match
buyers and sellers for $10.00

BTW, for a couple of hours today - during the middle of a VERY ACTIVE trading day - the
con artists at the Nasdaq decided to try-out some new software and use their ECN
competitors - ISLD, Brut, and Instinet - as the guinea pigs. Needless to say - IT FAILED! and
Nasdaq refused to display Datek customer's NBBO. No harm, no fowl - just another concrete example
of the willful, deliberate, and fraudulent manipulation of individual investors "missed opportunity
costs "and just blaming it on softwarte/hardware malfunctions.

Only a complete idiot (or one actively engaged in fraud) would change horses in the
"middle-of-the-stream" during a flood of 1,174,900,000 orders.
