Rande Is, et al: B-2-B Commerce

The other sector, aside from broadband, that is getting a lot of favorable press is B-2-B commerce. I divide B-2-B into two distinct components: the portals themselves and the companies that provide the software and internet "backbone" for the portals and the B-2-B transactions. I am not conversant with the major players and only a few names come to mind:

portals: VerticalNet; Chemdex
software/backbone: Ariba; Active Software; Calico Commerce (upcoming IPO)

Could you (Rande Is) and some of the thread readers list or mention which other companies are major players in this sector? I think this will be the other place to invest over the remainder of 1999 and 2000.

Many thanks.

Rande,

Hopefully PlayCo will wake up and follow in Etys footsteps. Added more PLCOP at this level.
