Nasdaq, Dow and NYSE are all fairly weak. The Naz is by far the strongest thus far.

How far will they dip? So far it's just that...a dip.

I've made no bones about the fact that I thought the healthiest scenario was for the Dow to test 10,000 and the Naz to test 2600 before the recent FOMC meeting, setting the stage for a big jump. Close but no cigar. Whatever...

Anyway...because earnings continue (for the most part) to look pretty good it is possible the exchanges aren't too far from some near term support on a closing basis.

Earnings surprises, yeah I know there are better links, didn't feel like lookin'!!

Tomorrow is important...hope that the Naz holds the short uptrending line at 2780 or look for an eventual test of 2730.

The Dow should try and hold 10,214 before the test of 10,000.

The NYSE has a shot at holding the line at 586.

All of the above are closing numbers. What are the odds of holding at the "best" above numbers...not especially good.

The problem is these exchanges are not as oversold as they might be to hold support, plus the indicators suck...so it's dicey.

My guess is that if we do hold and reverse during these earnings...we pay for it with a correction shortly thereafter. Brush up on those shorting skills...I mean it obviously can't be all that hard if.......nevermind. It's a joke, kinda. <g>

My opinions only etc...good luck.
