SLI, Inc. Responds To Share Decline

CANTON, Mass., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- SLI, Inc. (NYSE: SLI - news) is responding to the sudden decline in the market price of its common stock, announced today that preliminary information for the quarter ended September, 30 1999 indicate that revenues for the quarter will be in line with Company expectations but earnings will fall below consensus estimates. As the financial information is collected and received, the component parts of the shortfall will be analyzed by management. Specifics are not yet available.
