Mark-

Many companies are funded in the seed stage by family and/or friends, however, professional venture capital firms are increasingly looking at funding the seed round of new companies.

VC investing is a difficult and time consuming proposition. Many a horror story can be told by angel investors and VC's about this type of investing. You should feel fortunate if 1 out of 10 investments will turns into something.

FWIW- leave VC investing to the professionals.

Hello Mark,
The company I am working is looking for the second round of investor money, around $5 million. Banks all love the ideas but are rather straight laced, ie 'well show us when you have 2 Mill in revenues per year and we'll be back". Of course we're saying "well, we don't need you then!!.

Any ideas? And other thread on SI that are useful? Olga
