This is buy on rumour and ... ... ... rally.
It seems we must wait the news a little longer.

There will be much competition: PUMAS thing is THE BUSINESS-MODELL, which will be and get copied tens of times.

Pumas strategy is the very clever: 'PIM' = Personal Information Management over wired/wireles-web - You must understand the logic of love to understand this... People will fall in love with their new toys, such as phones.

Look AMZN...? Why? Puma owns AMZN shares. How much, and for why??

Ps. I don't know anything - I wait the news.

Press release:

Riverbed and Certicom Partner to Deliver Advanced Security for Mobile Enterprise Computing

Highly efficient SSL security technology enables the secure exchange of
mission-critical information between handheld devices and the enterprise

HAYWARD, CA and VIENNA, VA, June 8 /CNW/ - Riverbed Technologies, a
leading provider of innovative technologies for the mobile enterprise, and
Certicom Corp., a leading provider of next generation encryption technologies,
today jointly announce a licensing agreement to enable the secure exchange of
mission-critical information between handheld devices and the enterprise.
Under the terms of the agreement, Riverbed will incorporate Certicom's SSL
Plus for Embedded Systems, which has been optimized for the low-power,
limited-bandwidth environment of handhelds and information appliances, with
Scout MTS, the enterprise standard for data exchange. The integrated solution
will provide customers with industrial-strength, transparent SSL and elliptic
curve cryptography (ECC) security for applications such as sales force
automation, inventory and asset management, field service and corporate
communications.
Handheld devices are rapidly becoming an important tool for business,
uniting the mobile workforce with enterprise information - anytime, anywhere.
But, for companies to truly exploit this innovative technology for corporate
applications, executive management and IT professionals need the assurance
that transferring sensitive corporate information between handhelds and the
enterprise is at a minimum, as safe as transferring information between
desktop systems on a network. Certicom's SSL technology delivers this
security, protecting the transmission of sensitive information, by creating a
secure and authenticated connection between handheld devices and the
enterprise.
''Without question, security is a top priority for any organization that
is deploying handheld devices and other information appliances into the
enterprise,'' said Wayne Jackson, CEO of Riverbed Technologies. ''We selected
Certicom as our security partner for its expertise and industry standard
security technology which is critical to enabling these devices for mobile
enterprise computing.''
''Riverbed is driving the connection of handheld computing systems to the
enterprise,'' said Rick Dalmazzi, president of Certicom. ''IS mangers require
strong security before opening their networks to mobile devices and our SSL
Plus technology enables software developers to quickly and cost-effectively
fulfill this requirement.''
Riverbed selected Certicom's SSL Plus for Embedded Systems because it is
the most efficient security protocol available, specifically optimized for
small form-factor and resource-contrained devices. Characterized by smaller
key sizes and more efficient computation than traditional security approaches,
ECC provides a number of important benefits, including improved performance,
smaller memory and processing requirements, extended battery life and lower
cost of implementation and messaging. Certicom's technology also provides
digital authentication to identify the mobile device, providing a form of
insurance that only specified users can access or display information and
applications distributed over the network.

About SSL Plus for Embedded Systems
The SSL Plus toolkit is the most widely deployed and trusted commercial
toolkit available for SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), the dominant security
protocol used in virtually all secure networked applications and products
worldwide. SSL Plus for Embedded Systems enables uncompromising security for a
wide range of applications on Palm Computing and Windows CE handhelds, set-top
boxes, smart phones and other embedded devices that are connected to corporate
enterprise, consumer service, and electronic commerce applications. SSL Plus
is used by leading companies such as Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Lotus and
Intuit to build security into a wide range of applications and products for
the Internet, intranets, and corporate networks from traditional Web browsers
and servers to home banking products, handheld devices, and legacy mainframes.

About Scout MTS
The Scout platform, Riverbed's cornerstone product, enables the
enterprise to deploy inexpensive handheld computers as a platform for
real-time access to back end applications and data. The Scout framework
enables the sharing of real-time data within mission-critical environments and
an arbitrarily large deployment of palmtop users via a TCP/IP based network
connection. For maximum flexibility, Scout leverages both wired and wireless
networks to seamlessly send and receive information to and from any number of
legacy applications, ERP suites, Web applications, workflow and collaborative
corporate data systems using only a handheld device and a modem. ScoutMTS is
in use across a broad range of businesses such as health care, sales force
automation, inventory and asset management, field service and merchandising.

About Riverbed Technologies
Riverbed Technologies develops and markets software and tools that bridge
the gap between mission-critical business information and the mobile
workforce. Their innovative solutions empower companies to exchange important
enterprise data between handheld devices and corporate networks. The company's
cornerstone technology is the patent pending BCRp communications protocol. The
Scout MTS suite includes a multi-thread applications server that enables the
deployment of handheld devices (such as the Palm III from 3Com, the Symbol
SPT-1500, and all Windows CE devices) for use in true enterprise applications
without requiring a companion PC. Riverbed products have been successfully
adopted by Fortune 500 companies to mobilize professionals in a broad range of
industries including health care, sales force automation, inventory and asset
management, field service, merchandising, and corporate communications.
Riverbed is located at: 2070 Chain Bridge Road, Suite 475, Vienna, VA 22182.
