Gary, now lets not get into the finesse of economics, but I wish to remind you that Fiscal policy is equally important, even though most of the attention and benefits of our current economic status are attributed to Monetary policy. No economy in the world has ever prospered purely on sentiment. Sentiment is essentially a gauge on people feelings, and we all know the old cliche, "that it is human to err," We also know that almost every twenty years we forget our history and for some reason continue to repeat the same mistakes. Why don't we ever learn? Our greatest minds have warned us, but most of us continue to delude ourselves that the internet is a magical world and it has no parameters. Well you are WRONG.

My fear is unless the government alters Fiscal and Monetary policy very soon this internet craze will eventually come to an abrupt halt. This in turn will be followed by at least a decade of slow economic growth.

Now if the publics sentiment does not eventually materialize we would be wise to heed to our forefathers trepidations. Tulipomania is the best example to use for what is taking place on wall street today.

When the bubble pops, 3Com will still be standing tall. That is why I have a concentrated position in 3Com.

I personally think if Graham and Dodd were alive today, they would have picked 3Com as a safe investment.
