They also had another press release today. Kinda nice to see them crank up the PR machine after having to be quiet for so long.

Global Crossing Announces New Worldwide Global Centers

Building ten new "Global Centers" in Europe and the United States

Introducing Web hosting, content distribution and outsourced IP applications over worldwide network by second
quarter 2000

New York, NY -- Internet World -- October 6, 1999 -- Global Crossing (Nasdaq:GBLX), which is building and
operating the world's most advanced global IP-based fiber optic network, today announced it will construct ten new
multi-million dollar mega data centers, known as Global Centers, worldwide over the next year. With these Global Centers,
Global Crossing will leverage its seamless global high-capacity network to expand its successful U.S.-based web hosting
and IP applications businesses into new international markets by mid 2000.

Beginning in Europe, the company plans to build these highly secure, fully redundant facilities in London, Paris, Amsterdam
and Frankfurt by the end of June 2000. These new centers will complement existing smaller Global Centers in Melbourne
and London. The company will also expand its existing U.S. data centers in New York and add new centers in Sunnyvale
and Herndon. Additional Global Centers in Asia/Pacific and South America will be added as the network in those regions is
completed.

"These new Global Centers will vastly increase our ability to offer our customers the combination of an advanced distribution
channel for their content over the Internet, as well as a rich source of IP-based applications to help them operate their
businesses," said Bob Annunziata, chief executive officer of Global Crossing. "We said we would be delivering new,
state-of-the-art products and services over our global network, and this expansion reinforces our commitment to that
promise."

Ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 square feet in size, most of the international facilities will be located in much larger
"Telehouses" which will provide Global Crossing's customers with low-cost, high-capacity connection to the company's
sophisticated backbone network, as well as highly-secure collocation space. Together, the Global Centers and the
company's seamless global IP network will propel the introduction of a whole host of advanced IP-based application
services worldwide, beginning initially with outsourced e-mail and then moving into messaging, security, calendaring and
scheduling applications.

The geographically dispersed Global Centers are being designed to the highest disaster-resistant specifications to help ensure
that customers' Internet content and mission critical IP applications can stay online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Such
redundancies will include multiple back up generators, extra uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and air handlers,
state-of-the-art security and fire suppression systems, and direct connectivity to the Global Crossing network.

Today these Global Centers host more than 300 top Internet brands - some of the best known names in the business,
including Yahoo!, ZDNet, Red Hat and eToys. The company currently facilitates 60 percent of all Internet searches and
delivers more than 8 billion hits per day, or nearly 2 million hits per minute.

Comprehension...

And I have never been able to understand why people start sermonizing whenever a disagreement brews.

<Everybody uses some device or scheme to help convince themselves that their decisions are sound. What I have never been able to understand is why people spend so much time trying to convert others to their point of view or disparaging a different viewpoint.>

Sometimes people with a round wheel on their cart can't help but laugh at those with square ones.... <G.. couldn't help that one>
