I think the stock price will take care of itself. Over the next few months we should see the results of these strategic relationships start to take shape. USAB will be successful because it is not trying to compare itself with Netbank, Telebank or Wingspanbank. They have an edge. If they didn't, they would not be able to differentiate themselves from the pack. They have a different marketing model: leading edge interfaces, strategic alliances, private label banking and to back it up, great rates and no-nonsense banking products. All of these will allow them to acquire new accounts at a lower cost which means a better return on advertising/marketing dollars. The html site works, customer service is excellent. People will visit and open accounts, whether it is from the main site or through David Bowie, the NY Yankees, or any of the hardware or ISP relationships they are garnering. They will get Howard Stern fans, Yankee fans, Earthlink/Mindspring users. Its not just about building one brand. Its about many already well known brands enhancing and helping to build each others brand with superior service, products, support and technology. But remember, in the end, USAB is still a bank. It wants to increase deposits because it believes with the lower cost structure of internet banking it can pay higher interest and still earn a return on money that leads to profitability. As they grow their asset base, they should also be increasing their capital structure. Once we are through this period of rising interest rates, financial institutions should start to perform better and USAB will have the leverage of its increased assets to create more value for shareholders. Until then we will watch as they grow and improve. Anyone out there that has opened or is planning on opening an account should post their comments and suggestions to this board as well as sending them directly to info@usabancshares.com. They are very responsive and take suggestions very seriously. I know first hand. Thanks, Michael Disclosure (if you haven't figured it out already): I am long USAB.
