That reminds me. (Remind me to say "I'm sorry" later.) My Mommy once joined an AAUW bookclub. The topic on Wednesday was going to be the book True Grit, which interested her naught. Really. Nada. Less than nada.

But she was dumb enough and needy enough to sign up for these things to get to hang out with her Toidy friends.

So she went to the meeting, and they read True Grit aloud.

Not portions or snippets,
the whole fucking book.

Just for comparison, and by way of an apology.
I would rather read X's 9,0000.

you are such a sweetie- but I can't eat any cake 'cause Gaugie and Ish are saying my butt is big. And even for a highly educated elitist woman like myself- being accused of having a big butt is crushing. I am perusing the brochures of local fat farms as we speak.
