Doug <OT>
The barracks are gone and now parking lots and new buildings, but a few of the old warehouse's are still left.
I was there at the same time in the late 80's and 90's, and yes I'll take a copy of your article when I get to one of your meetings. To my knowledge the US Navy never had P-47's, my dad flew every single engine the Navy had up through the end of the war and I never heard him mention them, he then transitioned into jets, but I'll will ask him this weekend when I talk to him. I'm not trying to question your knowledge of aircraft but, the British Hurricane is large and bulky like the P-47, and there are a few of them around, Howard Pardue out of Brownwood Tx. has one and it's painted blue, he is also a CAF Col. and probably had it at the show. The Arizona Wing is a large and well backed wing, they very well may have found an A-20 and be rebuilding it, but it wasn't the one that went down in Harlingen, the largest part's left of that crash were the 2 engine's, it was ugly sight.
Take Care
