I believe your last sentence should begin "without" rather than "with"? OK, you explained it in nice easy words, for which I am grateful. Surprised at the comment about the '87 crash, I read very conflicting explanation for that crash, but the fact that the recovery was so quick, IMO, militates in favor of the explanation that it was program trading run amok. Surprised at the explanation that higher taxes are deflationary, it seems to me that spending is inflationary whether it's done by the government or the consumer. What's the diff?
