LG, i basically agree with that...the larger degree blow-off certainly began in October last year. i was only missing the final perpendicular rise in the DOW...it would be a bit anti-climactic if the Dow topped out in a trading range, but it is certainly possible, especially since many were expecting final upside burst before the market gives in.
i also disagree very much with the analysts who are saying we should pay the a/d line no mind...whenever rallies narrow more and more it follows that a concentration of the 'capital on the move' results in the few names that hold the indices up. one day someone will blink, and that could be anytime.
the move above the 25 year trading channel is what Prechter refers to as the 'terminal throw-over'...essentially a move outside the channel that immediately fails.
not to worry, im not retracting my LT bear claws...<ggg>
