Charles, I think people have backed off on calling Howard Burris. There just isn't a lot of information available beyond what Fred K. relayed to us from Burris last month. As Burris stated on 9/8/99 via Fred in post #5063, the demo for the mystery customer they are working with went very well (Burris won't say who this customer is so don't bother calling him to ask). As noted by Burris in Fred's post, the R&D group at SMS did a huge amount of work to come up with some kind of new process or product or whatever it is. I think Burris, who has worked long and hard to make this company a success, feels that this is the company's future. He doesn't want to say anything that will jeopardize this deal while things are being worked out with the customer and this process is currently still ongoing. Burris probably doesn't know himself exactly how much longer it will take to wrap things up. Once all the details have been worked out I'm sure there will be a press release. I have a large position in SCMS so I can fully understand that waiting for news can be nervewracking, but I'm afraid there just isn't very much that can be done about it. I haven't called Burris lately because from past conversations with him I know he's not going to talk about anything until he's ready. I'm holding my shares. Byron
