S.W, ZIASUN TECHNOLOGIES: REUTERS ADDED TO SWIFTRADE'S ON-LINE STOCK TRADING PORTAL...

SOLANA BEACH, Calif., Oct 7, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- ZiaSun
Technologies Inc (OTC Bulletin Board: ZSUN) (www.ziasun.com) today
announced the addition of Reuters real-time financial information
services to its Swiftrade (www.swiftrade.com) on-line stock trading
portal.

Reuters (Nasdaq: RTRSY) will become the primary provider of financial
news and market data for Swiftrade.

In addition to late-breaking international news, data and financial
analysis, the Reuters Investor feed includes real-time stock prices for
the London Stock Exchange and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.

This new service is in preparation for the soon to be launched on-line
trading for the London and Hong Kong markets through Swiftrade.

The addition of the Reuters Investor feed not only gives Swiftrade
users the ability to check prices instantly, but also means that their
Hong Kong and London on-line portfolios will be updated automatically
and in real-time.

Agreements have been finalized with brokers in the UK and Hong Kong to
serve their clients using the Swiftrade platform, and the program is in
the final stages of testing.

Anthony L. Tobin, President and Chief Operating Officer of ZiaSun
Technologies Inc, said, "We are of course pleased to rely on Reuters.
It means we can do an even better job for the international investment
community."

"The pace of Internet development today, as well as the competitive
nature of the on-line financial marketplace demands that service
providers like ourselves must align themselves with the best in the
business," continued Mr Tobin.

"So when it came to finding the right provider for financial news and
data, Reuters was our first choice."

Jeremy Harris, Managing Director of Reuters Hong Kong said,
"Swiftrade's portal receives the Reuters Investor which includes data
and news covering the equities and foreign exchange markets. We are
pleased that Swiftrade chooses our services to add value and breadth to
its portal, and thus enrich its product offerings and empower its
customers."

Reuters supplies the global financial markets and the news media with
the widest range of information and news products including real-time
financial data, collective investment data, numerical, textual,
historical and graphical databases plus news, graphics, news video, and
news pictures. It reaches over 519,000 users in 57,720 locations and
extensively uses Internet technologies for wider distribution of
information and news.

The Reuters Investor provides Swiftrade with comprehensive financial
data. A team from ZiaSun's subsidiary Momentum Internet is writing the
programs to format it into easily readable web pages, graphs and
charts.

Mr. Tobin said that this would be an ongoing task as the Reuters data
was so extensive that the company wanted to extract the most from it.
As an example he cited that the feed supplied news and data in more
than 20 languages.

In addition to Swiftrade, ZiaSun's Internet products and services
include 'M Finance' (www.mfinance.com), MediaHits (www.mediahits.com),
PINmail (www.pinmail.com), Search Dragon (www.searchdragon.com),
ServiceLive (www.servicelive.com) and Online Investors Advantage
(www.i-advantage.com).
