Chuck, I don't really know how GW feels about the Congress, at this point, but the fact that Bubba had a Rep. held house didn't seem to curtail him at all. He just opted for executive privilege.^ ^ ^TD

>If GWB wins but they lose the House, all bets are off.<

Charles the Faithful (grin).

>Judging by his remarks made at the Manhattan Institute, GWB doesn't care if his party holds the House.<

Well I think GWB made a great political move. Indeed it was splendid. All those comments were aimed at making the liberals swoon. He certainly picked up some liberal support this week, and he has lost none from the conservatives. Okay, so apparently Rush is upset, but should the race comes down to Gore and Bush, even Rush will tuck his tail between his legs and punch the Bush button (unless he hears about my campaign, then he will vote for me *** vote Pilch for President, the REAL alternative ***).

But GWB should now put away the whips and work to assuage the fears of the GOP wimps. He has made his point very nicely. He has shown the country that he can take a stand on "principle," (Riiight) rejecting party politics. It was a great move.
