(OT) haim - not commenting on whether the companies (or stocks) will fail or succeed, but the 'get people to your booth' has ALWAYS been a part of these trade shows. computer shows used to feature things aimed to men (as at one point, they were in the huge majority) - including at one show, by a company which is definitely still around - the dallas cowboy cheerleaders at a party.
