Paunch, back twenty years ( 25?30?) ago when Newmont was in New England in Danbury Connectuicut ( their R & D Center ) they were confounded by the fact that the Carlin Trend would not Standard Fire Assay. The rest is history. Birch Mountain won't SFA and that just DON'T mean that metals are not there.
