Maybe not what some individual stockholders may want, but if the MMs want it, don't you think it's best to play their game?

Hold on, CGarcia. Do you think the MM have your best interests at heart? Or are they out ot make a fast buck regardless of the consequences to the individual investor?

The structure of the AOL/ATHM deal is critical to the future of ATHM. If Case can turn ATHM into an AOL puppet and make it dance to his commands , all of us ATHM investors are dead meat.

AOL cares nothing about ATHM per se; rather,AOL cares about keeping them "sticky eyeballs" glued to the screen so it can collect subscriber fees and charge big bucks to advertisers. As AOL sees it, ATHM's future is to make AOL money. Period.

So, getting in bed with AOL now, before the future has a chance to unfold, means you don't get any respect in the morning.
