Tench does not work in that Chip Set division (DeskTops) - he works in the SERVER Chip Set group.

In fact, Tench worked on a 64 nit chip set that has had a rather STELLAR track record !

But clearly, somebody else at Intel did a screw-up job on the Camino/Rambus issue.

Let's just watch Intel pull their bacon out of the fire - they're pretty good under duress.
