One thing about JDSU:
If you consider this company essentially two halves recently joined together, its notable that the analysts have consistently understated the JDS Fitel side of the picture(particularly when it was purely Canuck). Fitel has been growing at roughly 100% annually the last few years, with the analysts typically underestimating this by a significant amount. Suspect this could still be the case as the Fitel side is located in silicon valley north and arguably not as well covered as the Uniphase side (which is growing significantly slower). Of course this perceptual discount will likely be diminished over the next few quarterly reports as JDSU continues to surprise on the upside.

Have been rather tied up of late so have not been an active participant. Am astounded by our success of late. For those interested, recent Taiwan earthquakes have provided a window of opportunity in semi maker PMCS. Another broadband growth story (royalty - not a gorilla) who has hitched itself to the power of the internet. By the way, I must really acknowledge the incredible talent onboard this thread. Without the leadership residing here, I never would have made that QCOM investment last spring. Am wondering if lightning is about to strike twice with Gemstar.

Regards all

For those doing DD, the Fool's JDSU board is more active (and perhaps generally better) than its SI counterpart. Start with the excellent "JDSU FAQ" link...
