Rise Sorry, I wasn't trying to mock your post...just speaking my mind out loud as usual. I have done the same sort of iterations and found they never work when I apply them to the real world. On all the examples you gave a simple following stop would have locked in at least some of your profits. Wait until the trade is slightly profitable than move the stop to a break even position. Everytime the stock goes up you follow with the stop loss below the nearest technical support level or a fixed dollar or profit amount away. Of course you have to give it room to move because you don't want to get whipsawed out of a bigger profit than you deserve. The loss on SOE would have been unavoidable but you would have got a big chunk of the CM move (at least to $34). If you get stopped out for a profit and the stock regains strength...just jump back on board with another stop loss. Best Regards KEITH
