Hi group, Anyone know what's up with affx? This kind of a rise on no news? I can't find any news to account for the $10+ rise....although not of large volume. TIA, Barbara

No no no!-- No evidence of any problems. Sorry, not trying to spread any rumors. My client just wants to check into every aspect of the business at AFFX before investing. Actually, my impression is that their new VP of Mfg. really knows his stuff. <Well, they will if you ask.> Thanks, David. (My confusion was based on asking their sales dept., who said "that's confidential information, we can't discuss that.") I just spoke with investor relations, who says there are some "growing pains" stemming from moving from pilot scale to mass production (meaning that non-Gold clients may have to wait a bit longer for chips), but that they don't anticipate any long-range problems. --Katherine
