Lucretius, you are totally correct. One thing this thread doesn't seem to realize is that selling makes a stock go down, and buying makes it go up. Most of the time it has nothing to do with what John Q Public is allowed to know. It's all in the chart, and the tape.

For the last few days, even while the price has been slowly creeping up, there have been indications that institutions have been selling into the rise. Who's correct? We'll find out soon enough, I guess.

BTW, DELL down 9/16 in pre-market:

edit: now it's trading up 3/8. Bet it's not the institutions.....
