DigitalMe (3)

I have tried IE 5.0, the latest version of Netscape, and AOL.

It's a mystery folks.

I got into DigitalMe yesterday, registered, filled out ALL the blanks, logged back in, etc.

I've sent two private messages to others participating on this board about details of the note I sent corporate.

Open up Novell.

The "new" game is "out there" among "us" not "them."

Peace.

GO!!

Frederick, your not alone. It is quite clear that the DM team still has a lot of work ahead of it in cleaning up and fixing the real-world components of this service.

I got a message last night in yet another of my vain attempts to record a web site that the system was down for maintenance. I am sure that the team has been receiving a boatload of complaints about several things not working.

From just what I have witnessed on DM service, they had to put out a product that was not yet fully baked. Likely because of marketing pressures to "just get something out there!". JMO.

I can list several things that dont work well, are extremely non-intuitive, extremely limited help, etc.

I did a search on me and found 4 versions of me in the public space! I know that I only have one but it looks like they might be using some sort of catalog which is stored and not updated frequently. Also, I want to know how some people were able to change the text on their Card Designs (PETER??) and how some people could put their email IDs under their name during the search process.

I also dont understand - and someone has to explain to me - whats the whole purpose of the CARD Design and cards themselves. It seem to serve no purpose other than a neat feature. Scott, can you explain what the cards are for (and I am not referring to the mecards but the actual images)?

I am in the same boat as you Frederick - for the sake of not turning people away from the DM service - I dont plan on bragging about this new DM service until the "Inthenet" development team cleans much of this up.

Hello Frederick,

Hmmm ... I just tried and was able to get in ... not sure why you are having problems. A couple of notes ... they require cookies (and the error you get if they are disabled is not very descriptive to that!) ... and the error you are getting seems to indicate no response from the web server.

Maybe you book-marked a page? Did you try to just go to digitalme.com and then login?
