Yeah you're right, God isn't directing our every move. Sure God could get a predictable outcome, I dunno if he will, but it's definitely possible, I think God could know the outcome of an event, if you view it from the point that he is outside time, not a concept I can imagine, so I tend not to try too hard. What if God does get a specific outcome for some things, but not everything, I don't see why this would be nyhilistic, not everything is determined, but God gives us a helpful nudge every now and again, he's done it for me, and I appreciate it, without them, I'd be in a pretty bad way....
