LG Info-Comm. to supply WLL system to China

LG Information and Communication said yesterday that it has won a public tender to set up a code division
multiple access (CDMA) wireless local loop (WLL) system for China's Guangdong Province.

LG has achieved a major advance in China's WLL market by exporting
an initial system worth $2 million to the province, which accounts for 20
percent of China's mobile communication market.

The company also exported a WLL system to Chengdu, Sichuan
Province, last month, becoming the first Korean WLL provider to China.
It is planing other large-size exports to China.

Last year, LG exported WLL systems to Romania's Buzau County in June and Russia's Kostroma Oblast in
November. It also shipped a WLL system and terminals to the Russian autonomous republic of
Bashkortostan recently.
