09:52 ET Semis : DLJ says that spot DRAM prices fell again yesterday, and "demand is so weak that many dealers have sold no DRAM at all in the past two days" and many dealers have suspended quotes as "buyers appear unwilling to buy at any price." DLJ cites pending PC shortage. MU -4 3/4, TXN -2 5/16, CY -1 3/4.

Since all owners are in a profitable position there is no "overhead resistance" (sellers who held on when they were underwater and are now tickled pink to get all of their money back). I affectionately call these Blue Sky Breakouts - They often are gloriously characterized by a fast rising price.
