In 2001 we can chip in and buy a G&K Compound on Maui; the market closes at 11AM over there, just in time for snorkeling and golf
<g>.

I think you've found the site for our support group! However, I'd vote for Fiji. When I was in Fiji, I had no way of connecting with the internet and checking my stocks (and I didn't care!).

On a more serious note, it does seem that for Gorilla Gamers we do play too close attention to the daily fluctuations. It seems that if we are following the strategy that we research and pick our potential gorillas (as this list does SO well) and then sit back and watch them grow over the years. We seem to get derailed by an analyst report or a profit warning in a sector which takes the stock down for a few days. In true GG style, we SHOULD be on an island where the distractions are such that we won't pay such close attention!

My only other concern about the idea of an "island compound" is that if the market crashes our leader will start wearing dark sunglasses and handing out the koolaid! <g>
