DB 12:55 [AHP] AMERICAN HOME PRODUCTS SAYS Q3 1999 TO REFLECT $4.75 BLN CHARGE.
DB 12:54 [AHP] AMERICAN HOME PRODUCTS TO SEE $4.75 BILLION CHARGE DUE TO FEN-PHEN SETTLEMENT.

Fortunately, one time charges don't affect earnings. Second Call reported that analysts were looking for a consensus of $7.3B in charges. As a result, Third Call indicated that analysts were now looking for a 50% price appreciation in the next 2 months. -g-
