It might help if we understood your short position. For example, I sold Nov 55 puts - moderately bearish if I continue to hold. I also sold Jan 40 puts, moderately bullish. wbm bought oct 50 calls which is pretty darn bullish. I hold a fairly substantial position in the underlying, wbm has a much larger position than I, as do others on the thread.

When one fails to see both sides of any story

I think most of us want to hear as many viewpoints as possible. I don't ignore any information but some gets a lot more weight than others, especially when I know the track record of the poster. I don't yet know much about your insight as an investor, but am willing to learn, and future events will determine how much weight I would give to your comments. This is not a reflection on you personally, I like to evaluate a lot of information and I need a way to sort through it.

You may not want to emulate wbm's bullish style unless you also have his capacity to absorb loss, but his track record is pretty good. I would not put him in the "closed mind" category...
