jk,

i'm not an options trader but as past takeover history has shown me that options may not be the best play....my guess and keep in mind it is only a guess..but i feel cs will go after options friday...

which would make a date of 10/25/99 very possible...i have zero doubt in my mind cs will be bought and i feel the deal has to be announced and closed before the new year...so time is running out which makes for a deal very near

what i'm hearing:

bidding war took place ?..yes

players...siemens,nok,gec

price...32

buyer...gec

look at fore and xyln...off the top of my head i believe they both went right after the options expired....i know they bouth went shortly after eanings and we already have that out of the way

I sold my oct opitons on Monday - I do not expect a deal to happen this close to options - no way...so OPtions will expire - I would recommend sellling them today and wither buy Nov calls or wait until MOday and buy Dec calls....IMHO

i have been following and have had stellar contacts in the networking sector for a couple years now....asnd,xyln,fore and cs were all passed on to me....this sector has consolidiated more then any other that i have seen and cs is just about the lst one left.

just like john chambers of csco said the other day on cnbc...he sees much more buying in this sector...he was asked if he ouwld buy coms and he said no due to too much overlap....i don't have much of a feel for coms any longer but cs imo is a no brainer when it comes to picking the next buyout.

it's far from a secret
