No, Ariba was always a bit of a star pre-IPO. I don't think its worth its current valuation but what is? Otoh, Calico has been sitting around for a few years, they have changed their model a few times etc. It makes me doubt the management a little. They may have hit on the right thing this time or it could be just hype. But they are not in the same league as Ariba... btw between Siebel and Ariba, Siebel has the very best mgmt. BTW about a year ago Ariba was hoping to be bought for 800mm by peoplesoft, this was what the CEO was hoping for, I know that to be true. So think about that....
