I am not justifying anything. I asked him to stop at a certain point, because he was going so far overboard. I incidentally explained that I understood how various comments might have gotten him riled up, and said that I did not feel like picking with him earlier, as we are buds, but I couldn't keep my mouth shut anymore. I have not specifically approved of his behavior. I have considered mitigating factors....
