JeffK, that's a great point - and I'm thinking the same thing too. Read the latest issue of Forbes (the one with John Malone on the cover). In it, the article states clearly that Armstrong and Malone are bound to "strongly disagree" about the kind of technology that AT&T will deploy in their broadband strategy (Malone runs Liberty Media which has a significant interest in GIC - now MOT).

I think we're all seeing the results of that first battle and it's looking better for CUBE as a result.

IMO, GIC will be a rare strikeout for Malone. He wrongly calculated that the cable market would continue their deployment of GIC's proprietary standard.

Again, MOT purchased GIC with NO PREMIUM. I wonder why???
